Quality Staff, Quality Care
A program is only as good as its staff, and we know that quality care begins with quality staff. The members of our support team are professionals in every sense of the word, and we believe their personal well-being and continued growth are extremely important. Because of that, LiveOak encourages continuing education and career development through the National Alliance of Direct Support Professionals (NADSP), Eden LifeLong Living and other training opportunities.
All members of our staff complete our Eden LifeLong Living training, which teaches the importance of creating purpose and a life with meaning for both themselves and the residents. They learn that a LifeLong Living community is a vehicle for continued personal growth, a belief that's at the heart of our support philosophy. As a result of our commitment to our employees, LiveOak maintains a stable group of well-trained, experienced and compassionate staff with very low turnover, which helps us maintain a consistent level of quality care year after year.
LiveOak has also established with St. Edwards University in Austin and Texas State University in San Marcos to develop an outstanding internship program that allows students to receive hands-on experience and training by working with our residents and mentoring by our experienced staff.
