LifeLong Living
Our residents come to us with their own interests, their own aspirations, their own histories. At LiveOak, we are committed to honoring the individuality of our residents and creating a home-like environment where they can grow and enjoy life, not just pass the time—that’s what we call LifeLong Living.
LiveOak comprises three programs offering progressive levels of independence. Within each program, residents have more personal choices and opportunities to participate in community activities. LifeLong Living also means giving back to others through volunteering, which helps people feel a greater sense of being needed, contributing, and puts them in contact with members of the community-at-large. We believe individuals with cognitive disabilities want the same things out of life that we all do: a safe, comfortable place to call home, a sense of purpose, meaning and dignity, people who know them well and are there to support them in times of joy and times of challenge.
