At LiveOak, we encourage professional development and continuing education through organizations such as the National Alliance of Direct Support professionals, Eden LifeLong Living, and other organizations that meet our criteria.

A typical day on the job may include driving residents to appointments, assisting with meal preparation and clean up, supporting residents with real-life problems, supervising medications, taking part in health and fitness activities with residents, and going on recreational outings.

LiveOak Living Community does a comprehensive pre-employment background check on all eligible applicants, including criminal history, driving history, employee misconduct registry and drug screen. All applicants must have a clear driving record that allows insurability by the company. All employees are subject to ongoing driving checks of driving record. LiveOak Living Community is a drug-free workplace. A clean pre-employment drug screen is a requirement for employment and all employees are subject to ongoing random drug screenings as part of continued employment.
